Celebrating Community Spirit at the Bromley ABBAS 2024: Quest’s Journey and Mercedes’ Commendation

Last Thursday, 7th November, the heart of Bromley gathered to celebrate the 2024 Above and Beyond Bromley Awards, fondly known as The ABBAS. This special event, now in its second year, honours the individuals, charities, and businesses that go the extra mile to make Bromley a more connected, vibrant, and supportive community. Quest was thrilled to be part of the event as finalists in the “Best Startup” category—a recognition we couldn’t be prouder of. Although we didn’t take home the top prize, we were ecstatic to see our friends and partners, Radfield Home Care Bromley, win the category. Radfield’s win is a special one for us, as we work together on the Connections Cafe, a cherished community initiative that brings people together.

But the night held an extra-special surprise that truly made our hearts sing: our own Mercedes received a commendation certificate for her outstanding community work! The award read:

"In recognition of your outstanding commitment and dedication to the community. Your selfless actions, tireless efforts, and unwavering support have made a lasting impact on those around you. You truly go above and beyond, embodying the spirit of the community and making a real difference in the lives of others. Thank you for being a shining example of what it means to be a true Community Star."

The room filled with applause as Mercedes was recognized among Bromley’s inspiring local businesses and charities. Seeing her dedication to the community honored in this way was incredible, and it felt wonderful to have both Mercedes and Quest recognized in such a meaningful setting.

Thank you to every participant and supporter who helps make Quest a unique and magical part of Bromley. We wouldn’t be here without your enthusiasm and commitment, and together, we’re building something truly special for our community. Here’s to next year and the continued journey of bringing people together in Bromley!
