Could this be the start of something special…?

Scriptwriting Magic with Quest

Saturday, 25 Jan, we experienced something truly special at Quest—it was our scriptwriting workshop led by the incredible Gina Knox. The session brought together a group of vibrant, creative minds to explore the world of storytelling and playwriting in a way that was inspiring, collaborative, and just plain fun.

Table Talks

The Group deep in conversation, sharing ideas.

We kicked things off by sharing our individual ideas for plays and stories, each one sparking lively conversations and fresh perspectives. From there, we dived into free writing exercises, letting our imaginations flow freely without judgment or overthinking. The energy in the room was focused as ideas took shape on the page. Very different from our normal sessions.

But the real magic happened when we teamed up to work collaboratively. Our group exercise revolved around creating a plot for a play about GreyWhistled, the carrier pigeon—a character that seemed to take flight before our very eyes! By the end of the three-hour workshop, we were buzzing with creativity, exchanging ideas, and feeling inspired by the like-minded people we had met.

Create your own way.

Writing our plot ideas, working to the dramatic climax!

This workshop reminded us of the power of collaboration and the joy of giving ourselves permission to play. We’re excited to announce plans to create a new scriptwriting workshop at Quest, where we’ll continue nurturing this vibrant creative energy.

If you’d like to be involved, we’d love to hear from you! Please email us at questsoultheatre@gmail.com to be added to our mailing list. Whether you're an experienced writer or someone who's just curious to explore storytelling, there's a space for you in our welcoming community.

Let’s keep those creative sparks flying!
