Where Creativity Meets Care

The Story Behind Quest
Mercedes, a trained drama teacher, left the UK in 2007 for a life of adventure across Singapore, Canada, and France. While teaching and raising her family abroad, she continued using drama as a tool for learning and connection. But after returning to the UK during the pandemic and facing her own mental health crisis, she found hope and healing in a local amateur dramatics group. It was there that the seed for Quest Soul Theatre was planted.
She realised there was a gap—especially for adults—who wanted to enjoy the benefits of drama without the pressure of performance. A place to simply be, create, and connect. And so, Quest Soul Theatre was born as a Community Interest Company (C.I.C.), using drama-based workshops to build community and support good mental health.

Meet the Soul Behind Quest
Sharing Joy is all about celebrating creativity, connection, and community. This is where we showcase the wonderful work created in our workshops—through performances, readings, exhibitions, and more. These events are not about perfection; they’re about expression, courage, and coming together. Whether you’re joining in or cheering from the audience, every event is a chance to share joy, tell stories, and uplift one another.
